Holly View Farm



The land encompassed by Holly View Farm was once a part of the first settled property in what would become Transylvania County in the 1700's. It was passed down through the years by members of that original Land Grant family and then purchased in 1970 by the Taylors. It is still run today by three generations of the Taylor family.



Camping with Horse Stabling



Holly View Campground offers 9 camper hookups with water and 30amp electric service. There is a Bathhouse with a

Mens and Womens restroom complete with shower. There are 20 stalls available for travelers with horses, a round pen for turnout or exercise and a wash rack for hosing off your animals at the end of a big ride. The Campground is perfect for groups traveling together with a large picnic shelter, small creek side picnic shed and a grill shed. Maps, ride directions and travel directions are available to all the local trail heads in both Dupont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest-Pisgah Ranger District.

Campsites are $25 per night

Stalls are $15 per night



The Cowboy Bunkhouse at Holly View Farm



The Cowboy Bunkhouse is a one room cabin located directly beside the Bathhouse in the Campground. It has a built in, adult-sturdy set of Bunkbeds and a quality sleeper sofa. It has heat and air conditioning and tv with local antenna channels. The room includes a microwave, small refrigerator and pod coffee machine. Linens and towels are provided.

The space is $45 per night.



Coming Improvements!!



The Trail to God's Front Porch is an existing one mile out and back ride that travels to the top of Pine Mountain through the back 80 acres of woodland on the farm. Future plans include expanding routes off of the main trail to increase the amount of onsite riding. (The photo is the view towards Dupont State Forest from the top of the trail. The red roof visible in the lower right is the large picnic shed in the Campground.)

An Equine Obstacle Course is currently under construction at the west end of the Campground behind the Bathhouse area. We plan to install a series of built-in obstacles of different difficulty levels.


PLEASE BE AWARE, INSURANCE DICTATES THAT RIDERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST WEAR A HELMET WHILE RIDING ON FARM PROPERTY.
